Big Bend - Put on Your Hiking Boots and Sunscreen...

We ventured out and walked a number of trails. Our first was the Window Trail, a three hour, 3.6 mile trail in the Chisos Mountains. The elevation (4,600 ft), heat and sun caused us to take quite a few breaks.  Thank goodness, we had lots of water with us.  We were huffing and puffing at the end, but the view was spectacular! We learned that starting a hike at noon in the desert is not a wise idea.

Really beautiful hiking trails
